Not really, they collect or receive adult turtles injured or malnourished or entangled in nylons, plastics, etc; then they restore the animal to a healthy condition during weeks or months, and then release them back to the open sea. For sure they don't collect eggs nor hatchlings. I am no expert but I understand that these are borne naturally from their nests in the sea shore and they go to the sea by themselves, usually at night after around 2 months after the egg was laid.
For the hatchling release did you actually get to see baby's being released into the ocean??

Sorry I cannot answer your question as I'm in NJ for the summer. Although I've never seen hatchlings I have seen releases and they are very exciting to watch. The turtles are put on a cart and released in the sand close to the ocean. They find there way into the water.
