ROYSE CITY – A man is in custody after police say he robbed an Uber driver at gunpoint, stole her vehicle, and led authorities on a chase that ended with his capture after he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Frisco police said a SWAT team took the suspect into custody after a fatal shooting near a Walmart store on Wednesday night.

ROCKWALL COUNTY, Texas — A man suspected of robbing and carjacking a North Texas Uber driver at gunpoint Wednesday was arrested after a brief chase with police, officials said. The Uber driver told police she picked up a man in Addison around 10:30 p.m. and drove him to an address in the Verandah subdivision in Hunt County, police said.

Frisco, TX - Frisco police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a Walmart on Wednesday night. The shooting occurred at the Walmart located at Eldorado Parkway and FM 423 in Frisco.

Frisco police arrested the suspect from Wednesday night’s deadly shooting near the Walmart on the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423.

Police only confirmed that they were investigating a shooting. They would not release any information, including any possible victims or if someone is in custody.
